Texas is calling my name. I've been invited to do a show in my home town, Amarillo, for High Plains Public Radio, on February 13th. This is part of a series of concerts called The Living Room Concerts . The Desert Dogs will join me for what should be a fun Valantines weekend show. Living Room Concerts have become the rage across the country in support of independent artists and music lovers as well. In that growing tradition, this network of Public Radio Staions provides the much needed radio exposer we indy artists need, and we thank them. HPPR (http://www.hppr.org/lrc.html ), has a network of 20 stations that trasmitt across the Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma Panhandle, Southeast Colorado, and Western Kansas and on a clear day Nebraska! The show will be recorded and edited for later radio play along with web streaming and pod casting. The Performance Studios' location is 101 West 5th Suite 100 in Amarillo . Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7:30. Admission is free but there is a $10 suggested donation with all proceeds going to the musicians. There will be coffee and lights snacks provided. If you find yourself in Amarillo February 13th please join us. |

"Raise Your Voice" reviewed in Texas Music |

"The title Raise Your Voice seems a bit of a misnomer; Warren doesn't shout his convictions so much as express them in a soothing manner befitting a front porch conversation while watching a Southwestern sunset. His lyrics and delivery are earnest but amiable, helped along by unassuming but pleasing melodies and impeccably clean acoustic picking. The four tracks featuring subtle accompaniment from Lloyd Maines and Terri Hendrix are highlights, but Warren and his band Walking Rain sound just fine on their own too. - Richard Skanse |

Rachel Heisler out of Las Vegas, Nevada has written a nice review of the new CD. Her web site is www.pitchperfectreviews.com check it out. |

"Raise Your Voice" reviewed in IndieWorldCountry.com REX WARREN - "RAISE YOUR VOICE" One of the very best produced records I've ever heard. The picking, writing, and vocal presentations take a back seat to no one. The Walking Rain Band is talented beyond belief. My hat's off to all the "NON NASHVILLE" pickers. Great sound! Man .. I had to take a real close look at the Avocado Records logo. If nothing else catches your attention with this CD, that logo surely will! And .. I like every cut. I W Picks are .. "Every one of the 14 cuts". |
